Preparation for Bone Densitometry (DEXA)
- No milk products 1 day prior to the test.
- No dairy products 1 day prior to the test.
- No Upper Gastrointestinal Procedures, no Barium Enema, no IVP, no CT Scan with contrast 1 week prior tp the test.
- No Holter Monitoring on the same day.
- Pregnant patients should inform Attending Physician and Nuclear Medicine Technologist before undergoing DEXA Procedure.
