All patients for admission should be seen and assessed by the Resident Physician-On-Duty in the Emergency Room. While the patient is in the Emergency Room, the immediate relative and/or person responsible is advised to proceed to the Admitting Section to give some pertinent data necessary for the patient's admission. The Admitting Clerk explains the Consent for Hospital Care and Diagnostic Procedure.
During admission, please inform the Admitting Clerks if HMO or Health Insurance are to be used to pay for the hospitalization. The Admitting Staff will check whether the particular HMO or Health Insurance Company has an existing direct billing arrangement with the hospital
For patients 60 years old and above, documents as Senior Citizen must be presented. For Charity and PCSO patients, a referral from the Social Services of the hospital must be obtained.
Hospital policy will be explained and hospital brochures will be given to the patient and/or to the person responsible.
Room Reservation:
Reservation of room is on first come first serve basis.
Reservation will depend on the availability of rooms.
Following priorities are observed in room reservation:
- Patients for isolation
- Chemotheraphy patients
- ICU trans-out
- Patients scheduled for surgery
